Why is UC Davis the “one” for you? “UC Davis the ‘one’ for me because of its beautiful campus, college town, and its sense of community. When on campus I spend the majority of my time around the quad and MU. It is also a great spot to study, hang out in the sun or even meet somebody new. The professors I have had truly share their passion within the subjects and clearly show that they want to you learn and succeed.”
What is your best experience on campus? “Each memory created here is due to the friends I have made back in freshmen year, who have also led me to meeting all of the amazing people I have around me day to day. For me, it's being apart of the Davis community that has made the college experience an unforgettable one.”
What do you hope to be your legacy here at UC Davis – what marks have you made or changes that you hope will continue? “When I come back five years from now, even 10 years, I hope to see the Davis Dance Marathon continuing and in full blast. We had our first dance in 2013, and I am the current president in the midst of planning the second annual event. Davis Dance Marathon is a nationwide philanthropy and all funds raised by UC Davis students will benefit the UC Davis Children's Hospital. We aim to promote awareness in a fun, interactive way.”
Tell us about one person at UC Davis who has enhanced your life or your work? “I have found that the staff at the Center for Student Involvement have been an inspiration and incredibly helpful. During the class I took with them, I feel like they provided not only skills to assist the present time being, but to carry on in my future as well. I am so comfortable talking to them and enjoy their positivity and creativeness.”
