What is your best experience on campus? “I was the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for five years and helped UC Davis to transition to Division I. In doing so, I learned about the legacy of UC Davis and the incredible people who helped make this place special. I gained an incredible appreciation for the value of shared governance and learned how UC Davis does it better than any place on earth. Mostly, I became a devoted Aggie for life!”
What do you hope your legacy will be? “I hope I am seen as someone who is willing to work hard to help the entire UC Davis team to improve. I love being part of something special and doing great things as a part of a team. I hope I will be remembered as a team member.”
Tell us about one person at UC Davis who has enhanced your life or your work. “Catherine Vandevoort, professor-in-residence at the California National Primate Research Center and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, has really shown me what it means to serve. I believe the campus is a better place because of her leadership in both the Academic Federation and the Academic Senate. She is passionate and fair and always has time for students.”
